I dunno what kind of paint...but I know the paint alone cost him 300bux...and looks flawless.

          yea, Dan, its a 302 bored .030" over..so its now a 306.

          oh, Mr Bean...I haven't dyno'd it yet..but we're shooting for around 370-400hp.

hmm..it would be nice to have a meet...maybe later in the year...maybe not until next spring tho...I got some bills to catch up on now.

so, MeanVic84..just how quick is that Vic?

wow MeanVic84, didnt know you had a 350hp 351...thats schweet.
that would be an interesting drag race right there...since my hp #s should be between 350-400...and I got the same gears(but with POSI).
yea, I'll have to race ya mang, that would be fun.

you ever gone to a drag strip with your Vic? I'd imagine you'd run in the high 13s or faster.
oh, and do you have a CarDomain page or anything?

Thing is, that 350 horse rating is probably the old style HP rating--before 1972 automakers measured horsepower without the parasitic loads created by the water pump, alternator, etc. So you're kinda comparing apples to oranges.

Well, guys, I'm sorry to break this to you, but my car will blow away anyone else's. See... It has an exotic Ford experimental carburetor called the Variable Venturi. That's right, since it's variable, I can have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven... all the intergers and really all numbers, real and imaginary, venturi's. Controlled by Ford's own MCU, it is always at the perfect air fuel ratio, reguardless if I have it set at 1 or 56 venturi's. So unlimited fuel = unlimited power. Ok... /hijack.

Colin, it is looking great! Did you mock it up to see if it will fit under your hood? The intake combo looks mighty tall! I can see exhaust valves through the ports in one of the pictures! Yay for power! I kinda like the valve covers like that... it's a contrast. How are you gonna fit the long tubes?

The color looks great. I like to paint my modern age engines Dark Ford Blue, or black depending on year. I don't like green or purple engines. For some reason, I am wondering about white engines (I think Edsels maybe had them)... that would be different.

White? Eww...I mean, it's great for working on 'em because you can see everything so well, but even the slightest leak of anything makes it look like crap. I've painted engines white before.

                      Never. Again. Ugha.

Thanx man. Yes I do have a cardomain page but i haven't gotten around to updating it yet. And no I haven't taken my Vic to a drag strip yet but I'd like too. BTW, I hate to say this but the variable venturi is the shittiest carburetor Ford ever concocted.

Tiggie, the headers were custom bent to fit a Box...no problem there...however, we will have to shave off just a tiny bit of the motor mount on the block, not much, like maybe 1/2" of material...on the driver side.

it should fit ok under the hood, we'll take off the insulation and it should fit fine.

yea, Dan, Nate is right..its the E303 cam...not too lopey, but is a good choice for a 4Klb car.
I was thinking of doing the F303 Cam since it would be more lopey, but that would be for all high end and the low end would kinda suffer.
but I dunno...maybe later down the road I'll do something a little more lopey...but I doubt it.
