It sucks that a cool old musclecar like that ended up in such rough shape. I hope you made a few thousand on it when you sold it. It would have been cool for you to put the whole drivetrain in your '65.

Damn, that's awesome you had a boss 302? Damn.

Looks like the DZ302 camaro out in my nieghbors field. Rough, but still worth a ton of $$

I did pretty well when I sold it. I sold it to a friend of a friend that is a Boss fanatic( he had 2 other Boss 302's ). He said he was going to restore it into a nice driver. I didn't want to break up the stock drivetrain. The car lead a hard life I wanted to see it restored to some of it's previous glory. I didn't have the funds or the shop to do it in so I sold it to a guy that did. Believe it or not the frame rails and most of the front floors(it needed the toe boards replaced ) were solid. The 1/4's and trunk drop offs were just horrible. Both of the Boss front fenders were fixable.

My 65 was my daily driver so I was perfectly happy with a slightly modified 289. I ported the heads and the stock 2V intake and swapped a stock 2V carb off a 390 onto it. So it still looked dead stock but had a little more punch. It was a fun ride nothing wild. But I did manage to break the transmission yoke at the U-joint.
