Well, I don't know. It was his Grandparents car. And he was in his forties. And for having 95k on it for only 13 years (at the time) I'd say it was the original owner.
The Tank has done fairly well this year. End mileage is 174,712. Put damn near 25k on it this year.
Some of the highlights of the year include:
-New instrument cluster. It ended up failing 8k later and then I manned up and bought the really good speedometer gears.
-Actually getting to use the snow tires
-Installed the Marauder tips
-Newer power steering box
-New tie rods
-The start engine button fiasco
-No major failures
Performance upgrades include:
-Trac-lok
-4R70W tailshaft housing
-Aluminum drive shaft
-E3 plugs
-A new set of FRPP 9mm wires
-J-mod
This year it would be nice to freshen up the engine and install NEW brake lines.
I wish a good and prosperous new year to everymang and their rides.
So, January has been semi-uneventful.
-I had turn signal flasher go bad. That was a quick $5.12 fix.
-My trip stopped working last week. Time to order the good gears for that side.
-My Optima battery is the shit. My car started perfectly when it was -18* F last week.
Just broke 176K yesterday. Heading back to the Philly area next monday.
Rock on!
The Tank has developed a wicked misfire. I'm going to change out the plugs today. I think it's my #7 and #8 cylinders going. That is expected with the gasket problem I had a few years ago. Oh well. I hope this fixes it.
Peace out Panther people.
I forgot to post an update. Been "kinda" busy. But....
Still running strong. Since I'm going to be a dad, I need to go over my car as soon as the shop is operational and do some intensive work on the Tank. It's cheaper to fix the Tank than to buy that F-350 I want. So...
-New brake lines. All of them.
-Big brake upgrade.
-Weatherstripping. The leaking is getting annoying.
-newer motor.
-fix the A/C
-blast and rubberize the frame and other undercar componants.
-struts and springs.
-alignment and new steering stuff; if needed.
-tune up shizzle (wipers, fluid flush, belt, etc)
-powder coating anything I can/want.
-fix window motors and door lock actuators
-rear tints
-run new fuel lines
The Tank broke 180k finally. Put new brake pads and rotors on yesterday. I got the one time replacement on the pads and a 2 year warrenty on the rotors. I think that's swell.
Ordered 2 Trico Neoform wiper blades last night. I got $10 off them online from Advance Auto.
Well work on the brake line issue when it stops snowing.
And I went 514 miles on ONE tank of gas. Averaged 25.7 mpg. The 514 miles included me running out of gas last night, just to see how far I could go.
