I replaced all three of the switches on my ATC unit on my 89 crown vic and I thought before hand that the blower motor switch went bad so I replaced it. I just put the whole thing back together today and it didn't work. I need help because I have worked on this dam car for four hours and this happens...oh and I also tapped on the blower motor itself and that didn't change a thing. Im thinking that my ATC is screwing everything up but I just want to make sure before I go any further with anything else. I ALSO THOUGHT TO BELIEVE THAT THE SENSOR RELAY SWITCH WENT BAD but I have no idea where it is and what it looks like. My father mentioned that to me before I replaced all of the switches.

Sounds like the blower resistor or the plug is shot. The switches aren't all that problematic. The resistor lives in the plenum, straight behind the valve cover on the passenger side. Find the big electrical plug back there, and you've got it. Unplug it and clean the connector first since that might fix it. If not, the resistor holds in with 2 screws I think.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

They get hot when the connection corrodes. The corrosion causes resistance, which makes heat. If you put some dielectric grease on there to help seal out moisture, it should last another 25 years without much trouble.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

you know, I've never touched mine. It is one of a few things I've not had to deal with. I'm frankly terrified of trying to unplug it. I expect the whole connector will turn to dust in my hands if I try.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
