Not quite yet. HE prob didn't drive it far like that...

Plus, the lever was probably pushed all the way back, at full pressure.

      meaning, he is still OK...

go to the dealer tell them to look up the part #

the dealer i went to didnt have it, did a search on here for it and gave them the part no. , when i went to pick it up, the said dealer bought a load of them for on the shelf.

Thats for a SEFI car, 1987+. No idea if thats the same part on a CFI car's TV rod tho.

When the grommet on a TV-rod equipped car deteriorates, TV pressure usually defaults to max. When it deteriorates on a TV-cable equipped car, it always goes to 0 pressure and will KILL your tranny.

I have one of these waiting to be installed, along with a matching throttle cable. Though it's not on the car yet, the quality looks simply amazing. I'm sure it will be worlds better than the clunky TV rod currently in place.

Everything seems Ok today. I adjusted the screw a few turns and it holds the gears a bit longer now and shifts a little firmer. I likes it.
