Finally found and bought a Gen 1 Lightning EGR spacer.
This spacer allows you hook up your factory CV throttle linkage to a Explorer or GT-40 upper intake manifold.
The evening I got it, I as out in the carport cleaning and inspecting the spacer. the whole time in the background a thunderstorm was coming in fast from the northwest. while I was feverishly scraping away excess gasket material a bolt of lightning struck directly in my back yard. there was a bright flash and the BOOM was deafening for several seconds. Of course I lost power for about 3.5 hrs.
I thought it was ironic that lightning would strike in my yard while I was cleaning parts from a Lightning...
Top unit is the Lightning spacer with a 67mm opening, bottom is a stock CV spacer thats bored to 63mm to match the HO upper intake. you can see the coolant hoses and throttle linkage hook ups are almost identical
