My intake sucks, but only from one place now. This is much better than my old multi-port air injection system. I changed out the upper and lower intakes today, as my old ones were crap and I now have ported/polished ones. The initial problem was with my old crap intake spacer and the bolts it came with. They weren't cut quite right and the ended up trashing the threads in the lower intake. The front right tower where the bolt goes was actually cracked right in half and the intake spacer was split at the center across the EGR passage. The bolts that came with the new one also sucked, but a few minutes with a tap and die set fixed that. One was bent, so I re-used an old one. I've also got new (to me) fuel injectors with new pintle caps and O rings, as well as a bling-bling chrome fuel rail off a junkyard car. The chrome on mine was completely gone, so I needed salvage bling. I also installed my adjustable FPR, and found out the brand new fuel pressure tester I bought is a POS. The first time I threaded it onto the schraeder valve, the damn thing leaked. The tiny O-ring inside is torn. I think the fuel pressure is set pretty close but I'll have to exchange the stupid tester to verify that. Car seems to run OK but I haven't had it out for a run. There is a slight ripple in the idle but that could be from being cold, or because I left something on and the battery went flat, losing the program in the ECM. We'll see how it does next weekend when it goes to SC.

I'll get pics today if I can. I also have to grab the pics of the suspension rebuild and whatnot.
Mine used to have a slow roll, now it has a fast ripple. I'm hoping it just needs to warm up and re-learn. Might be the IAC, it came from the junkyard so who knows if its any good. The TPS also isn't calibrated.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Quick check on the IAC, unplug it while the motor is running. If the motor dies, the IAC is good to go. I also need to calibrate my TPS, or replace it. The computer is throwing codes for it(the only codes showing up actually, I was amazed)I woulda done it a couple days ago, but I can't locate my voltmeter.Save a seal, club a liberal.

Most boxes have chrome rails. My car is actually the only one I've seen without chrome. I think it just corroded off or something.
Had it running again yesterday and the idle was smooth. I haven't set the TPS yet. IAC seems to be working as it starts at 1200 rpm then backs down to about 700 rpm in a few seconds. I'll have to set the TPS and get the engine properly warmed up before I determine what, if anything, is acting up. It hasn't run more than about 2 minutes since I put the intake on, since its currently inside and I don't have a great love of exhaust fumes. The fuel pressure also needs to be set. I bought a fuel pressure tester, and the POS leaks. I think I've got it close but it might need some fine tuning. I'll get a rail mounted guage, now that I realize I have the adapters for it already. They came with the AFPR.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
