    Power stroke

So, just in theory and all that, How hard do you think it would be to drop a 6.0 or 7.3 powerstroke into....say...a box style TC? Is there a better PS engine to use? 5 spd Torqueshift or will/could it be mated to a *gasp* AOD?

    You guys thoughts?

My worst enemies are those who presume me to be harmless. They cannot imagine how much I resent and disdain them, or just how great a threat they would face if I could get at them. Everything in their behavior speaks of insult and presumptuousness, and for now it is all I can do to make constructive use of my anger toward them. At this time, I just make a list of them and keep a watch on. Some day, with the help of time, space, and circumstance, I will be able to humiliate them properly - not in a manner they would enjoy, but in a style calculated to make them wish that they had never been born.

You wouldn't want ot use the AOD. The original trans would have to be used. It will fit, with work. Iv'e suggested a PS swap a few times.

It would be too boring for me, my dad's 99 7.3 PS sucks. A lopo vic engine makes it look like a mower engine. Sure it can pull but its soooo slow, not to mention sounds annoying.

Then there's something wrong with it. Those PSDs can make an Excursion jump up and skidadle pretty quickly. And you've just got to love the sound of that turbo spooling up...:worship:

I dont like the PS. If I was buying a diesel it would be a cummins or chevy 6.2. Why the 6.2 you ask? 30+ mpg and if you bust the glass ball in the injector pump they'll scream.

                  Here's what I'm thinking guys:

The ultimate work horse Town Car. I want to be able to tow a 30 foot travel trailer up a 10% grade at 55+ MPH. And I want to do it in style!

I want to see the look on the guys face when he sees me pulling a 30 foot travel trailer up a 10% grade at 55+ MPH and he can't even maintain his speed in his pos Dodge Dakota without a load!

I want to literally see ricers eat black smoke when I gun it at the light. Be able to pull a full size dually pickup out of the ditch on the side of the road without breaking a sweat.

                  Has anyone done this yet?

Why get a truck when you can cruise in real style. BLING-BLING and shit!

Damn, that's something I've always wanted to see, and if I had the money I'd have tried it already. I know of some people who'd give their arm to work on a project like that, reasons are stated above (they seem to be universal)

It's all conjecture at this point. I may come in to some money this year. I'd really like a '61 Continental, but a power stroke Town Car would be the shit as well!

Sounds like a great idea! A 30-foot travel trailer only weighs how much? I mean heck, pulling on behind a car isn't dangerous at all!

Seriously, I hope you're planning to add about 2500 pounds to the weight of your car if you try this... If not your car will be trown around like a little rag doll. The most I've pulled with a box was a car trailer with another box on it. Did it twice. Once it was my wagon hauling my '80 marquis home, the other time was with my '85 GM pulling an '84 CV pats car home. Not fun. Not fun at all.

Yeah, it's a good rule of thumb that you need to have a pretty good weight advandtage on your cargo.
