Hey guys, my 89' MGM has been smelling like fuel for quite some time. I don't see any fuel on the ground but when I turn off the engine or even key on (hear the pump run) then off I get a nice smell of gas in the engine compartment. Seem to me more on the passenger side but definitely from under the hood. Thanks.

Check for seepage on any of the fuel lines. It may not be leaking bad enough to drip, but I wouldn't be surprised to see damp spot on the frame rail.2020 F250 - 7.3 4x4 CCSB STX 3.55's - BAKFlip MX4

When I bought my 89 GM, I had a simular smell. Turned out to be one of the fuel injector "O" rings leaking. Replaced them all and 9 years later they are still sealed.

check the fuel line, they rot out where the clamps hold them to the frame.
