    Valve Cover Gaskets

Hey guys I appreciate all the help that I have received. But now I got more issues that I just wanted to get advice on well first for the valve cover gasket for the drivers side looks fairly simple and easy to access but the passenger side is a problem. I know that I'm going to have to take of the plenum but I just wanted to know how many bolt there are and do I have to unhook all the hoses and the throttle cable.

6 bolts. Unhook the throttle, TV and cruise cables and the water lines to the EGR spacer. Unplug the TPS, EGR valve, and IAC. Unhook the rest of the vacuum lines and lift it up. Unhook whatever other line that is still stuck on there. Replace the vacuum hoses while you have it off, most of them are sure to be in terrible condition and replace the coolant hoses to the EGR spacer while you're in there. I think they are 5/16" fuel hose.

Everything really only goes where it should. The only thing you can really mess up is the vacuum lines I guess.

Also, get the rubber valve cover gaskets, not the cheap cork ones.

          Good advice!!!

I like the steel Ford style gaskets with a rubber perimeter. You'll only do the gaskets one time!

Yeah. The steel with the rubber gasket is the best. Just tighten the bolts down and go with it. Makes it much easier but they are higher priced

The rubber ones will do fine. Just dont over tighten them. The cork ones suck. You gotta be careful putting them on. If you get one of the bolts too tight it'll smash it out. Plus you need to use gasket sealer as well.

The rubber ones are also re-usable. So you will only need to buy them once.
