The muffler choice isn't going to affect performance a lot since the Panthers and trucks use low rpm/low compression motors so flow isn't as big a factor, but I think ever bit helps.
And i'm putting Extremes on my Mustang, they're about as loud as straight pipes only with a deep rumble to them, badass. They have a wing plate inside to deflect high frequency sounds waves.88 Town Car (wrecked, for sale)

Trying to mess with multiple adapters that dont want to slide into anything, crappy cheap pipe expander tools, and pushing and tugging with all your might while on your back REALLY sucks.
So, since there's no 'hobby time' at my current workplace, Im paying a reputable exhaust shop to put the flowmasters in and hang the tailpipes right tomorrow.
I also swapped springs between boxes yesterday so now the 85 sits mostly level, to avoid any potential issues of mismatching waggin spring vs sedan pipe clearance...
Im putting it back to 'normal' since the front end will drop some with the big brake swap.Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

Oh mah gawd, it sounds good...
$50 and its all welded up. I didnt even ask then to clamp everything, I saw the guy take the mufflers out of the backseat, but just looked at the box of clamps/adapters/hangers and shake his head... lol.
Convenient thing is, I had spent more than than $50 on all that and the tool I was going to use, and returned it all for a refund
I asked him to tuck the tailpipes up nice-like, and they sure did. You can barely see the tips peeking out...

Here's some interior clips - sounds nice and mellow, and you can hardly hear is at idle/cruise.
This is all about 1/2 - 2/3 throttle, easing it off after it gets into 2nd gear (to avoid excessively exceeding the speed limit)

the Lemur will always be... and she's definitely breathing easy now!!
You have to make a conscious effort to NOT spin a wheel from a stopstill not 'fast' though... maybe if you look at it as a ratio of per dollar invested
