    Water Pump Impellor Size?

Hi guys, I need to get a new water pump due to the accident. So I called the parts guy I normally deal with and he asked what the size of the impeller was. He said that there were two listings for my car; the pump with the 3 7/8" impeller, and the pump with the 3 3/16" impeller. So my question is which water pump is the proper one for me to use? If they are both usable, which one should I go with? And are there any other differences between the pumps besides the size of the impellers? Give me some input please, because I'm not sure which one I should go with. Thanks in advance.

yeah, there are two smaller bolts on the HD pump that aren't on the regular pump, I think they're toward the center/bottom and take a 1/2" wrench instead of the 9/16 the others take, or maybe they take a 9/16 instead of the 5/8. Whatever it is, I've been trying to block out memories of excessive water pump replacements. I have heard them ask iron or aluminum pump before, iron is usually the HD one. Never been asked about an impeller size though.

Well apparantly then, I had the HD pump. Surprisingly, it was cheaper than the other pump I have most of the motor back together, minus the water pump pulley, fan, and alternator. I used a pressure tester to check for leaks. Everything checked out good. Thanks Scott, Thain. I appreciate your help greatly!
