Yea there's a vacuum line that runs from the parking brake pedal over to a small white plastic half moon-shape switch mounted where the steering shaft goes into the firewall. That's what many here like to call the crap ass parking brake release. If the line just came off, then pop it back on. It's probably more likely the switch is going bad and a big tell tale is some slight hissing noises from under the dash when changing gears. If the line is good and the switch is bad, you can buy a new one (I think I've got the Ford part # lying around- they still sell them for around $20-30), or you can just cap the line off before the switch and eliminate the vacuum leak, but also the auto release.
