Where is the dang fuel filter?

OK, I searched this alredy, but got 14 pages of stuff, and don't have time to go thru all of it.

I bought a new fuel filter for my 1990 5.0, crawled under, and can't find that S.O.B. anywhere!

    Anyone?

    Joe

passenger side in front of wheel well, on side of frame, 2 hoses(1 front side and 1 back), 2 bolts that hold the plastic housing that holds the fuel filter. it is located somewhat in a metal box surrounding i guess as a way of protection.

by this do you mean somewhere between the wheel and the bumper?

Also, do the fuel lines cross over? all the lines under the car are on the drivers side.

none cross over, the fuel system is one big loop. the lines go from the pump in the tank to the pass side of the frame that runs into the filter that is located in front of the rear lower axle control arm, then runs to the fuel rail on the motor and back down the driver side on the frame down to the tank. the pass side line is the main pressure line and the one on the drivers side is the fuel return. the filter aint hard to identify, it looks like a fruit cup can lol. jus look on the frame in front of the rear wheel and you will see it, cant miss it.

Whenever anybody says that, it almost guarantees that I will miss it.

Its just in front of the rear wheel on the passenger side. Look for the red or black plastic cover thing, its right underneath.

Doh! That's what I get for looking on the wrong side of the damned car!

I have just gotten used to fuel lines being on the other side...
