I'm selling my stock 87-93 mustang shorties and the buyer wants to know if they will fit a 1963 falcon 289 with 4 speed manual linkage. Anybody know?

they'll bolt up, but not a clue if they're set up the right way to actually be able to hook pipes to.

If the engine bay of a '63 falcon is in any shape, form, or fashion similar to that of a '69 'stang they'll fit, but will be extremely tight, and almost hit the firewall

I think that the 64-1/2 and 65 Mustang engine bay will resemble the 63 Falcon engine bay. If I remember correctly, the Falcon engine bays were quite narrow.

Summit does list these Hedman shorties for Windsor-powered '63-'64 Falcons. At a glance, they do look strikingly similar to the later 5.0 Mustang parts except for the three-bolt flange .... although, the passenger-side exit angle looks pretty funky.

The headers will bolt up to the motor, but on the Falcon he will have 2 goofy "S" bends on each side for it to work. Buddy on mine bought my 289 for his 64 Falcon and went ahead and bought the Long Tubes for it.
Just remember a welder, saw and exhaust is all you need lol

I tried to mock up a pair of BBK headers on my 68' which is basically mustang based and they weren't close to fitting. The stockers might be close but a real pair of headers really isn't that expensive in the first place.

They hit the Z-bar on the clutch linkage, on the driver's side. Sorry, bud.
