Took the Flowmaster 40's off my 85 and installed some 50's. Car is quieter at idle and a little quieter at higher RPMs. Would have prefered Delta 50s but they are expensive. also ran the car with open exhaust. was not too loud at idle, but at about 2000rpm it got pretty loud.

Aye...the floorpan has a recessed area for the mufflers...they fit nicely. I paid a guy $80 to create all the joining pieces, weld the mufflers to the H-pipe, create the side exits, and buy the chrome tips.
It's got to be tons cheaper if you're just having them move a muffler back and up 1 foot.
