What number do you think is closer to the temperature of hot exhaust gasses?
Graphite is not a metal. Graphite is a form of carbon.
Lead is a soft dense metal, where graphite is composed of carbon atoms in a matrix which allow the layers to easily shear which allows it to act as a lubricating media.
There is nothing in common between lead and graphite.
Mechanic put another new EGR valve in today (the other new one was bad) and they said the car ran fine. They got the "check engine" light to go off, too.
My mom drove it and it still "chugs" and knocks when you get on the gas.
