Another thing I noticed at my last oil change was that my mystery power steering seepage had turned into wetness and hanging drops...
A quick clean and inspect showed me that the high pressure hose was pissing out of the rubber part!
Hooray for not being the steering gear seal!!!!
Any who, these hoses were about 25 bucks each, installation was pretty easy. I took the belt loose and spun the pump to get some of that old fluid out too.
A crows foot line wrench made beaking the lines loose easy - there not much room for one of these there but all you need is it to break it loose - you can use a regular wrench from there.
I was about to loos my cool becuase the low pressure fitting wouldnt go into place, untill I remembered how the position of the metal line attached to the fitting mattered 100%. If that line isnt at the right angle, the fitting wont thread in. So, I moved the high pressure hose out of the way, and as you can see it wound up sitting under the high pressure hose
But that leaks fixed anyway... afterwards I found some still leaking from the metal bung on the pump that the high pressure like connects too. Its coming from between the pump housing and that thing. Dammit! its enough to drip too. ggrrr....
