Could you ever buy a CP without wood sides? I swear I've seen one before but I've searched the net and couldn't find any w/o wood sides.

yes
I am not sure what you mean by "CP" but wagons were available without the woody decals.
I own one with and one without.
Here is a link to a pic of mine. (yes the drivers door has been replaced)
I don't know how you had to order one without the wood, but mine is a K code car. It has the basic interior, with the tweed looking manual seats, and vinyl door panels. The car still has power windows and locks though. The K code means it has a 3.55 rear gear with the trac-loc in it, plus factory dual exhaust. I beleive it also got the HD wagon springs as it seems stiffer in the back than any other box wagon I have driven.Owner of the only known 5 speed box wagon with a lift kit.

Ohh...thanks for the info guys. I'm torn whether to strip the woodgrain off of mine, if I ever have it painted. If I did, I have a feeling that it just wouldn't be "pop-pop's car" anymore, but the thought of a slick-side CP is rather entertaining.Nick
