I was midway between Virginia and South Dakota on a 23 hour straight shot when I realized how bad/dangerous my headlights were. Advised by this list I went to www.danielsternlighting.com. I ordered my new lighting system (wiring/relays/the whole shebang) from Stern, had it installed and now when I pass a Mercedes or Lexus, my - entirely legal -lights are as bright as his.
Next month I will straight shot to Cape Anne and Austin Texas. If I didn't have the best lighting, I'd have to get a different car.
Only disadvantage is that the bulbs don't last as long as the sealed beams. I had to change both my low beams after 13/14 months and carry a spare bulb in the car.
