That's funny about the tailgate! One of the first things the salesman at the dealer showed me on my wagon was how to operate the 3-way tailgate. I've come to sort of hate the problem-ridden thing, but they're awfully handy when they're working.

Since the third seat isn't there, my wife like to show off the "hidden trunk". This was her and her mom's Christmas shopping super cruiser.

"Just look at all the stuff we can hide in there!"

True, the little trunk compartment is really handy, and not everyone knows it's lockable. I still saved the somewhat deteriorated third-seat parts from my erstwhile '79 wagon, with the idea of having the functon of a minivan on the cheap, but now I'm not even certain how much longer I'm going to let my '87 take up space around here. Ho, hum.
