The "door ajar" Light is now on in my parents Panther. If I remember my diagrams, then the passenger doors are not isolated like they are in a Taurus. The passenger doors are spliced onto the same input pin on the gem.
Do these ajar switches require they same repair as the Taurus?
Water displacer #40 in they latch. Open and close door 10 times. Once door ajar light goes out, lube the latches with white lithium grease. Does this sound right for Panther owners?
I think I can eliminate the drivers door. I had my dad turn then key to run and off. Turn on headlights. No key in ignition warning, no headlights-on warning.
Open drives door, key and HL warnings go off. Close drivers door, warning go out.
