You know, those would look great with just the emblem clear, the rest blacked out or something, so you'd have glowing lincoln emblems.

I was thinking either that, or to mask the inside and paint the emblem edges darker so that the emblem stood right out. I think the blackout idea sounds like it would work better, though. any body do some good Photoshop for that to see what it would look like?

                          no rush mang.

I was actually going to paint the raised emblem on mine. they are painted silver from the factory but after 20 years that tends to fade.

Actually the 89 ones are blacked out. I wonder if its paint or what. If its paint, it might be cool to get ahold of those lenses and clear just the raised bit so it would have the glowing star. must look into this.

                                Indeed!!!

All of the projects and things Ive done to my vic (except for the stereo and mechanical things) have been under 50 bucks... most of them under 20.
And even the stereo is a budget one... the most expensive parts were the head unit at $160 new, the cap was 70, and the amps I got for about 60 bucks each, average. Most everything except the head unit came off ebay, for a steal!

Take the LED 3rd brake light for example... one person who saw it said 'man, that must have cost a lot'.... lol! yeah, 75 cents.
Theres no way I would EVAR have paid the 100 some bucks to buy it new... but fishing it out of the trash can at work for a chance to fix it??? I was all over it like white on rice
