1. Camshaft is the Bare Bones Lumnati
2. Heads are Dove- C with hard exhaust seats/ pushrods springs
3. Edlebrock Intake
4. Quick fuel Slayer 750 carberator
5. HEI distributor
6. Double roller timing chain
7. Dual exhaust...

Got all of the guts out....starting to build...someone say tire roaster?

Love how this car's getting the performance makeover it should've always came with. And I'd definitely get a commercial account at Tire Rack, you're going to need it at this rate, haha. You know when your smogger V8 produces more torque at a lower RPM than a modern V8 (even the modulars took a while to beat the big blocks' torque ratings!) that you've got a perfect base for a stump-pulling, rip-roaring, luxury coupe from hell.

Urgh. You're making me want to buy my friend Nate's '78 Townie and go nuts with it.

I have heard some crazy ranges as on my Horsepower....I'm not going nuts like some guys at the Ford 460 forums......
- but based on their recommendations-
I have at least 380hp to 415hp give or take some.

When everything is done....the braking system will be looked at before a crazy test drive.....

Cam is out.....hood is off.
Let me tell you the hood was a heavy bitch!!

.....and the stick I am putting in is a Barbones Lunati Flat tapet cam. (performance springs, pushrods, everything!!!)
I am putting a double roller timing chain as well

Anyone ever degreed a cam? My cam looks like it is already advanced +5 from the cam card.
...should I just put it in without advancement?

I lubed the shit out of the cam and lifters....

Slid in without a hitch.....not going to degree the cam....
I eyed Top Dead Center ( passenger side piston is at the top)
I dont have to use a cam kit (the wheel and dial) right?

Such a sweet build, gonna be one hell of a sleeper..if you can get traction LOL

Lifted engine up; got the pan and oil pump out.

Got a new OEM high volume oil pump(the ones put on the police interceptors), oil pump shaft, and bolt on pick up tube/screen from Rock Auto.
Cleaning the old gaskets of the block....tedious work....more pics coming.
