On my '86 GM 5.0.............should the radiator be filled up to the neck, or two inches below? I noticed today that the plastic overflow bottle is half full with Prestone.........but the radiator neck was not filed to the top.

'two inches below the neck' is a rule of thumb from the days when most cars didn't have a coolant overflow bottle.
It 'should' suck the overflow back in as it cools off, if not you could try a new radiator cap.Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements
