OK, How the hell does the lock rod attach to the slide lock button on a Grand Marq? I took the door panel off the 88 GM to fix the window motor, now I can't get the lock rod to attach back to the slider button thing. I just pulled gently on it to release it, but now it seems like the hole is too big. Is there a clip or something that goes into the slider part to keep the rod attached?

Hm, must look closer. I wonder if the clip went flying or something. It didn't look like there was one there, and I know I didn't remove it. Might just need to push the rod in there more or something. Thanks.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
