Dash Pad

Has anyone successfully fixed their dash pad without buying the coverlay piece? I’m thinking about trying some resin or something to fill in the cracks and repaint it. I don’t know what to do for the speaker holes though.

Did you check out "pollock's" thread that started on 4-14-21 ? It shows what he did fixing his dash pad.
I have seen plastic or fine wire mesh used when rebuilding the speaker holes. Mixed results.
