so i finally found a door strap for a two door, but its dark brown, is there any way I can dye it maroon/burgundy? thanks for the help

Is the brown one cloth or vinyl . If vinyl you can use SEM vinyl spray. Walmart carries a vinyl spray too which is pretty good. You need prep/clean the vinyl well first, so the spray will stick
If it is cloth, a dye would work. I do not like to dye cloth. I have had less than good results.
If you have not bought the brown one and you want maroon vinyl, pm me. I know I have spare for the Merc. MAYBE another. I have some serious money in those, so it will not be cheap.
