Odometer Rattle (Found it, need advice)

So I finally discovered that my awful rattle is the gears in the odometer and trip odometer rattling together. Took the cluster out and shook it to find it and it's confirmed it is them.

What the hell do I do.

Should I put a very small amount of white lithium grease between them or is there something I might be missing. Advice?

yeah... white lithium would be perfect. put on the teeth and the shaft that they ride on (or the mounting points). Mine did that too. After greasing the gears, it shut up and hasn't peeped since. That was 8 years ago.

I used the same thing a few years ago, and it's still quiet.

Guys how in the HELL do I get the pin off the odometer. Which pin is it? The one that the smaller white gears are on or the one inside the actual odometer. I cannot figure this out

Don't really need to get the gears off to grease them. Just spray everything with a decent coating and put it all back together.
