    Headliner Info/Walkthrough

im sure as you all know we amongst many other 80's car owners have sagging headliner issues. ive been trying to poke at mine on and off for a while since ive had the car. but never took alot of time to investigate how to get it out so now its getting to the time where it just needs done cause its so bad. so gents, i ask you, how does one remove the trim pieces holding the headliner up? in my LTD there screwed down, but the 82 seem to be clipped in some sort of way. i have no clue where to start removing it to prevent the pieces from bending or breaking. id also like input from some of you interior guys, im sure someone on here has experience with upholstery. any suggestions on material?

if anyone is interested, i could do a full write up with pics that could be worthy of a "sticky" so i can pass along the info for future reference to anyone looking to do a headliner.

Just yank the trim firmily with two hands near the windshield. Don't be stupid with it though and just pull one end at a time...you will bend it as it is thin metal. Just work it out from left to right. There is a write up on it already somewhere.......

I've managed to remove them without bending them... but it takes some finessing to do that... and a well placed screwdriver/panel puller tool.
