    Falling Sun Visors?

    Hi everyone,

Well, the visors in my 84 wagon will no longer remain horizontal...is there any way to tighten them so they don't fall or do I have to replace them somehow?

    Thanks for the help!!

If yours have a screw in the corner near the pivot, try tigtening that up. Can't remember when those vanished but I could swear I've seen it on some models. Or maybe I'm imagining things.

I will check this out...is there anyplace to get replacement parts if I can't adjust? I literally can't see when this thing falls down

remove it completely. they don't make replacements. You'd have to fab one up. And if anyone finds a replacement source, I wanna know. The visors in my 88 are flaking cardboard now. They still work, but I see the delamination becoming an issue in the next couple of years.

Mine were plastic underneath the cloth covering, I know because the cloth got torn and there was plastic. I've since replaced them though not sure if my new ones are cardboard.

interesting. I wonder if the difference is lights or not as mine are basic no mirrors/lights.

That's probably it because mine have the mirror and lights

good to know. maybe I'll just grab some mirrored visors next time I see some at a yard and peel the fuzzies off (probably rotting off anyhow). Plastic would be nicer than what I have going now.
