Two pairs of needle nose pliers will work or if you can get one tab pried out of the way and put a little pressure on the back of the cylinder to keep the first tab from sliding back in you can move over and get the second tab.

Swapping the lock cylinder is just extra work (although not difficult).
Unless the whole housing is somehow destroyed, swapping the "potmetal scissor things" should be all you need.

In the third pic you can see the broken "potmetal scissor things" just to the right of the spring and the piece that broke off just to the right that.

thats what i thought. ours isnt the scissor thing, its the tab thing that latches the glove box closed thats broke

The latch tabs right above the spring in the third pic? Those can be swapped just as easily too.

yea those need replaced. thats whats broke on ours

That's strange, every one that have had break has always been the scissor levers.

i have no clue really.. when we dropped the 750 on the car. it was already broke. along with the missing dome cover and 2 of the 4 window motors
