    Installed FM Modulator

I put an FM Modulator in the 06 yesterday. This takes care of the one thing I missed about my 07 Impala.....the ability to play MP3s through the system. On the plus side, installation was easy and the box fit perfectly in the ash tray recess in the dash "drawer". This also gave me power from the lighter socket right next to it. The stock system sounds great with the MP3s, a well spent 40 bucks!

Cool. I take it the stock stereo has no aux input provisions? Some of the newer Ford radios have an aftermarket kit available to give them that feature, but not all apparently. I had a modulator in the Mark VII but it didn't sound all that good. When I had the stereo rebuilt, the guy was able to modify it to have an aux input function, which sounds way better. Rather nice being able to plug the mp3 player in directly.
