upgrading my jbl system to aftermarket headunit and aftermarket amp.

now if i can only figure out what color plug goes where. like purple= left rear and so on so on.



im just using this aftermarket radio till i have the time and money to buy the cd player jbl from paul protos once he is settled in his new place and can work on them. once i get the jbl unit it will go into the towny.

figuring out the colors is the easy part.

left front - white
right front - grey
left rear - green
right rear - purple

the beauty of this harness is that, the speaker side is all plug and play. you only have attach the powwer harness to your HU harness. that cuts down on the but connectors and shrink tube.


i would use some alpine stuff but, im used to pioneer stuff. im going with the DEH-P9400Bh for its features like, auto connect bluetooth, dual USB ports, 3 sets of RCA pre-outs and custom illumination.

Has Kenwood gotten less horrible with their menus? I took one out of the Towncar because I hated how the damn thing operated. The Eclipse I have in there now is also kind of pissing me off in that regard. Nice stereo, but it sucks to operate. It also won't stop dancing and flashing and shit. More and more, I want to fit a stock Ford radio in there and have it modified to take input from an mp3 player or something. The OEM stuff works without making me want to stab it. I also really like the old JVC I have in my truck. It works without being irritating about it.

this is why i liked pioneer HUs. the ones iv had, have always had good features, yet simple.

the kenwood excelon has decent menus... their newer stuff has even better menus... the POS kenwood in my linicoln is easier to use then the excelon and about 2 years newer... so I would say yes, the menus are better.
