ballpoint pen ink on rear seat!!!!!

Need some help, may have already ruined the seat. My son (the idiot) left a ballpoint pen, leaking kind, on the rear seat. Left a silver dollar size blue ink spot. I first used some degreaser, citrus base, professional strength, by Blue Coral. Ink's not really soluble in that, so I went with 91% isopropyl alcohol. It's gradually coming, but does anyone have any hints here?? I've never experienced this level of stupidity before, let alone ink on car seats!!!

    Thanks for any help.

If its leather or vinyl get a Mr Clean magic eraser. Be careful with the alcohol, rinse it very well. A client got ink all over my leather and the mr clean was the only thing that would remove it.

It is cloth I think. Not sure what difference is between velour.

velour is almost like a carpest feel with soft pile sticking up, you can kinda dig into it with your finger. Cloth is more like what is still used in most cars.

a good steam cleaner and oxyclean should get out ink. and sometimes, just the steam cleaner. Or a machine like a spot bot. some wet type cleaning vacuum.

Thanks Slymer. I almost wanna take the car to a professional and tell them to get the stain out at any cost - and make my son pay to serve as an abject lesson. Did I say 'idiot' in previous post? Yeah, i did....
