    Interior cleaning, whats your preference?

Just curious what order people clean their interiors in. I've always started by emptying the trash and other crap out of the car that didn't belong inside. After that, I vacuum the carpet and seats, clean the vinyl and/or leather, then do the glass last. I figure any dust that I kick up with the vacuum will get wiped off when I do the vinyl and leather, and if I get any vinyl cleaner on the glass I can clean that off when I do the windows.

Also what products do y'all like? I usually use Lexol on leather, Aerospace 3000 on vinyl, and Stoner's Invisible Glass on glass. Stains on the carpet or upholstry I've had good luck using Resolve.

I start by gettin all the Garbage out but there usually isn't any cause I hate garbage in my car.. So then I vacuum it (this includes headliner and package tray).. Any spots or stuff like that I hit it with interior cleaner... I then clean my vents with a detail brush then I do my dashboard with Surf City Garage Dash Away and If I don't feel like doing that I always use pledge (Never Armorall because it dries out dashboards) Then I clean my glass with Stoners Invisable Glass (Spray Can) Wiping the glass with News Paper.. Then I usually hit the interior with some Black Gold Pimp spray (When Available)

armor-all is definitely awful stuff. A guy that does vinyl explained to me that AA has silicone oil, which clogs the pores in the vinyl and won't allow it to stretch. Over time, this causes it to crack. I have a car that was abused with AA for years, and the dashboard promptly cracked up once I got it.

          Resolve FTW!

I used that on my velour seats, got every single stain out of them.

I use leather conditioner on the seats, dashboard and vinyl top. Cleans and conditions. Water or windex is good for carpet stains.

I clean out the trash, vacuum, windows, then dash and door panels. I stopped using Armor all after what I have read here so I would like to know what I should use instead while we are on topic. Also for the tires cuz I use AA on the tires too so recommendations for a replacement would be cool.

I do the windows before the dash so I don't get window cleaner over spray on my cleaned dash. I use windex although I used to use invisible glass but I found the same results with windex and I don't even use windex I use the knock off right next to it. I use micro fiber for windows using two rags one wet and one dry. I use Mothers Back to Black on my mirrors housings and such and even for the plastic in the engine compartment. For interior stains I use pumice free fast orange hand cleaner with very good results.

Is it the Resolve in the red spray bottle you all are using? People have been telling me it rocks.

I have 20+ year old ford detailing products that I use. For glass cleaner in a can, for vinyl and leather protectant/cleaner in a spray bottle, stain remover in a little shake can with a brush. Vacuum the carpets, seats, dash, deck, trunk and beat out the floor mats. Clean glass then use a meguiars interior detail spray for the all plastics. And I always put an air freshener in after I do this.
