Fix cigarette burns

This is me being anal again, but here it goes.

In 3 out of 4 of my new door panels. there are a few cigarette burns. I can't really complain, I paid next to nothing, and they aren't very big, but if you know they are there, you can see them. Where would I go to have them fixed? I have heard if you take a razor knife and scratch some fibers off from where you can't see them, and glue them in the spots it works, but I have never seen it done], and I would feel better if a profesional did it. I'm also trying to avoid having the whole thing recovered.

I did the cover up trick on many cars. Works great in areas of low traffic. I used scissors and took fabric from inconspicuous areas then some regular elmers glue (i am sure there is something better to use) and dabbed the fabric pieces in and let dry. Works every time for me.

do you have to have vic door panels?
i have a set of dark blue 88 grand marquis door panels if they will clean up....if u can use them, take them before they get thrown away......they have been here almost 5 yrs

No, I don't have to have vic panels. I'll have a look at those on Sat. They are probably in better shape than the ones I got lol.

I've always did the cover up trick myself. As long as you blend it well, it isn't noticeable unless you are really looking hard to find it. I have 2 small cig burns on my PS front door's Brown Velour panel, which I will be doing this to. Eastwood even sells kits for this, if you want a professional look to the finished product.

The crown vic is the same as the grand marquis panels, besides the wood grain bottom half, and the lights, that later crown vics got anyway.
