So I just hauled my 1983 GM to my house and put it in the garage to begin the process of getting it in better shape.
I was cleaning a bunch of crap out of the trunk and discovered that some time during it's 5 years in a parking lot, the deck lid seal gave out somewhere cause there was a small puddle of water in the bottom....slushy carpet.
Don't know how long it had been there, so I dried it all out, cut the carpet out and trashed it. So it's bare metal with a little rust.
I sprayed lysol all over the bare metal, I want to make sure any mold in there dies and doesn't spread.
Any other ideas or should I be good to go?
