There is no badging to say if it is anything other than a base model. Could I tell from the VIN number?

Jon, what trim level is GL? iirc, Signature and Cartiers had the wood trim. exectutive had the black.

So when I was down at Scottfest, I rode in both Scott's and Gadget's towncars (both kickass BTW) and I noticed they had this really cool woodgrain trim going on the dash. Heres mine on my 85 TC:



What's with this shitty black crap? I pulled it off and checked, it is stock from teh factory, not painted over like I suspected before. Is this a base model thing? All I know is I hate it like poison. When I get the chance, I am going to the Junkyard and pulling some woodgrain stuff from a towncar. This stuff is just....EWW
