Should be a T50 torx bit that goes on a 3/8" ratchet. Buckle is bolted to the floor. Not too much trouble to get those loose, Torx bit can be bought at any auto parts store for a few dollars. (Unless Ford changed the size of the bit, not 100% sure there, but my '87 takes a T50.)"Beasty Cruiser" '87 Grand Marquis LS 2-Door - Too much damage took its toll. Transmission blew, now a parts car.

Yeah, it was either T50 or T55, think it was T50. Hopefully yours isn't rusted completely in place like one of mine is - I've tried oiling and gentle heat-persuasion, but I don't want to apply too much heat right next to the fuel line, so I'm planing to go at it a little more aggressively when/if I get around to replacing and upgrading the fuel line.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

They sure are a bitch if they are rusted from the underside. When I first removed them from my car I used a 1/2 inch ratchet with a 1/2 -3/8 adapter just so I had more leverage on it. Now everything is easy because everything has been apart hundreds of times.~David~

my car starts and it has AC. Yours doesn't start and it has no AC. Seems obvious to me.

You can also crawl underneath the car and spray some rust penetrant on it.~David~
