I like my 2009 GM but.....

I've been driving my 2009 GM for about one month and my one complaint is the seat comfort. At about 45 minutes I start to get right leg pain. I've tried a couple of different seat cushion products, but they don't help much.
My car has stone colored leather and what I believe are 50/50 front bench seats.
Is dissatisfaction with the drivers seat a common problem with these cars ?
I want to keep the car but won't do it if I can't find a solution to this problem.
    Any suggestions welcome, thanks.

solved the issues with my right leg falling asleep while driving. Also a good theft deterrent for pick-pockets.

Find seats from an older whale body(98+) from a junkyard and see if they are any better?

do you lean on the armrest and drive lefty? I've done that to myself as well. Have to remind myself to lean to the left more or shift every so often on long drives.

Anybody here had an upholstery shop add new/different foam, or rebuild the entire seat support foundation ?
My car is still new, an '09 former rental with 9K miles.
My guess is that Ford uses a soft foam for the GM seats, which maybe some drivers like, but it's not going to work for me.
I am trying to decide about rebuilding the existing seat, or swapping it out for a Recaro or other expensive aftermarket seat, or selling the car.
My last car was a 1996 Chevrolet Caprice which I drove for 11 years. That one had a 60/40 bench front seat, and I never had any comfort problem.

I just sold a 14 year old car and am in the mood for new stuff now. Thanks for the suggestion, though, appreciate it.

Lately I been moving around in my seat like 2nd grader sitting through a long church service. Tried every position there is, and then some.

Leafsrule16 added more padding to the seats of his '97 GM. Send him a pm for details.

I talked to a local uhpolstery shop about new foam. He's done it for a limo driver with three Town Cars, says it helps. $350. He takes out the foam piece. puts in new higher density foam, stays nice and firm for about two years.
This guy was an old timer who liked the well sprung 70's car seats, and that due to the structure of the current seats, building a sprung seat is not an option. New foam is it.
I have 17 hours in the car coming up next week. I am going to try one Mcarty's sacro-ease 2-1 wedge memory foam seat cushion. And I will also try one Obus Forme The Seat cushion. Hopefully between rotating these two seat cushions the drive will not torture me.
Once I get home, if the cushions did not work, I may have the upholstery shop add new foam.

I'd see about installing power seats. You could probably find a more comfortable position with 8 or 12 way buckets with inflatable lumbar and the like, and I believe such seats came in similar year panther chassis. Just a matter of finding them and running power to them.

waiting for install: 3.27's, Poly bushings, boxed rear arms, 2500 stall converter, ported e7's, etc

iv noticed with them newer panthers that the leather seats aint as comfy as the cloth ones. the leather seats seem more dense and harder.
