    Bucket seats?

Are there any smaller bucket seats that'll bolt in place of the 50/50 bench in my '85 CV wagon? Matching color or material don't matter. I like the feel of my friend's '04 mustang seats compared to my car's and wanna get something similar.

Glen installed seats from a Jeep Cherokee into his '89 CV. You should send him a pm. Here's his profile:

Almost anything's possible if you're willing to drill new holes.

Other than actual Panther Bucket seats, it's doubtful there will be any bucket seat that will bolt in directly. However, our cars are fairly easy to make brackets for so you can adapt it to anything you want. I fitted aftermarket seats with fairly little work, and they came out great. And at $400 for the pair of tan leather seats with sliders, it's one hell of a deal. Just look up "leather racing seats" on Ebay and you can usually find them in Tan, all Black, and a Black with Grey center. All the other colors, I've only seen in vinyl. Most of the two tone ones have vinyl color parts and leather black parts.

All I did was remove the old mount brackets from the new seat sliders and bolted them to a alum. plate, one each for the front and rear of each seat. Then I used the old mounting points and bolts to mount the plates. No new holes in the floor. I switched the plugs on the seats so I could just plug them in.

Later panthers (90?-) have different floorpans though, and seats from them will require some of the same modification a non-panther seat would in his car.

The early box police buckets are 1970s Ford Fairmont buckets. They're nothing special. Walk around the junkyard, find something comfortable, and modify it to fit your brackets. Usually all you have to do is drill a couple of holes in the bottom of the seat frame to bolt it to your sliders.
