I had to install the cop guages in my '86 Chicago police car a few weeks ago. I've been changing the interior from red to blue, so I had the dash apart anyway. My buddy drove the '86 Crown Vics with the Chicago police and told me they had the guages, so I had to put them in. He also told me they had 50/50 blue vinyl seats, so I found a set and will be pulling out the red cloth bench seat. I'll take a picture of the dash guages when I get a chance. My temp. guage isn't original Ford, so I'm still looking for one of those.

Awesome, man. Good pics....I have been wanting a volt meter and an oil psi gauge for a while now, but I don't know if I'd want to put them where the clock is. They'd look wicked hanging in front of it but the plate they're on looks silly. I guess cops didn't/don't really care too much how the gauges in their cruisers looksigpic

1990LTD...
I guess cops didn't/don't really care too much how the gauges in their cruisers look
Thats because the gauges are installed at the factory... So not much choice... Also, the clock gets moved to the radio... (The AM / FM radio with a clock built in)

When I first bought my 1984 "Baby" LTD... it did not have the gauge package installed...
Found one of the mounts on E-Bay, so taking the dash apart to mount the gauges...
I had to cut out the dash behind the gauges once I mounted them in the trim piece... So I could figure out how much of the dash behind the trim had to be cut out... I didn't have a sawzall, so I used a jig saw and hack saw blade!
After installation....
]
I later found the correct replacement gauges to put in the dash... As the ones in the cluster that I bought on E-bay were not correct..

It's sorta like they made the police gauges look extra badass to compensate for most vics having no extra gauges at all.

160KMs 600cfm holley, shorty headers, 2.5" catted exhaust, 255/295 tires, cop shocks, cop swaybars, underdrive pulley, 2.73L gears.
