I'd go to one of your larger grocery store chains and see if they have one of those carpet cleaners you can rent. If so make sure to get the upholstery attachment and pick up some of the deodorizer and cleaners that they sell along side it. You'll be out a bit of money but the stuff goes a long way.

I've used rug doctor before with good results, when we had a pet that suddenly decided the carpet in our storage room was the place to go potty.
Unfortunately it was a while before we figured it out. YEECH!
Anyway I went over it a couple of times during the course of a day and the smell was gone completely.

While you've got it, you can go over your interior with it. It's amazing what you can get out of seats and carpet that already look clean. I swear the seats in the Hillbilly SUV were even softer when I got done. Even in the car has been kept clean most of it's life over 20+ years a lot of crap can build up.

Alternatively, if you have a place to let it sit out and dry, you could take it to the car wash and pressure wash it. Just don't get the nozzle too close or you can damage the upholstery. The last ones I did that to, had been in a car with the windows partially down for a few years and had cigarette butts and ash so deep in the floor that you could scoop it out in handfulls.
I tossed the carpet, but the seats came clean. The water that came out of them was the color of strong coffee at first. I kept going until it was clear.
For this I usually use Mean Green or Castrol Super Clean.

Even cheaper, try the Febreze that comes in the hand pumped spray bottles. It's designed to be sprayed directly onto the cloth, whereas the only ones I've seen in the aerosol cans were room deodorizers.

Last but not least, get your booze&barf buddy over to help, and make him pay for it.

      This.

Oh yeah, and ask cabbies if you can. Cabs don't go very long without being puked in, and not all of them have rubber flooring

I'd also consider mixing up some baking soda and water to neutralize the acid first, then use the shampooer to get the mess out. It may have soaked into the padding underneath, so you might be best off removing the carpet completely and cleaning it that way. I used a pressure washer on my old carpet to get it clean. Took the nasty brown chew stains out, and it got rid of the smell too. I did have to rinse out the carpet padding as well though, and that took an age to dry. Word to the wise, do not put the padding in the drier. It will crap up the inside and you'll be in there for an hour cleaning the mess out.

It only got on the side of the seat by the seat belt buckle...he was nice enough to puke all over himself cus he knows how I am about my car.......But I think I got the smell out, I cleaned it off like 2 minutes after he threw up with a bunch of rags and glass cleaner cuz thats all I had in the trunk at the time.. but I didn't use upolstry cleaner until yeasterday..It got all the dirt out but the smell was still there..So today I cleaned it again with Simple Green and then drenched it with Frebreeze..The smell seems to be gone...But well see if it comes back overnight...

Thanks for all the suggestions mangs...If the smell is still there Il have to try the bakingsoda..And the rug doctor is a good idea as well.....

not that I would know or anything, but smoke some weed in there, it'll cover up any puke stink.

then it will smell like smoked puke. There is no way to drown out stench without making a different stench, gotta get rid of whatever is causing the bad smell.

Welp I think the smells gone..When I got in this morning all I could smell was flowers..LOL. From the Frebreeze and the air freshner I put in there....But maybe Ill go get some Cherry interior spray from the car wash in a few days....And if your wondering what Im talking about..It's cool shit...The car wash by me has a Interior Fresh Station..It's basically a vaccum gun wit a trigger and you pick the smell you want..then spay it all over your interior.....Smells delicious....
