The rear seat belts (the retractable ones) on my 87 vic are completely underneath the seat in between the seat cushions. When I have friends in the back, the first thing they ask is where are the seat belts? I tell them and they just brush it off because we are not going very far. Well Im taking about 4 of us up to the lake for Halloween and that is an hour car ride. I dont know if there was something there to hold the belts up or not, its been that way since I can remember. What should I do about it, and where can I buy the parts to do it?

There are no parts. Pull out your bottom seat cushion and position the belts the proper way before putting the cushion back. I like to keep the belts buckled even when not in use so they don't slide down behind the cushion. -
there should be some black hook things to hold them up. they were bent on mine.
also, what the PO did for mine was use safety pins to stop the bets from retracting- then it was easier to use the belts since they went under the seat.

As well as the black hooks, there is a plastic boot that cracked on one of mine. I had to get a new seatbelt out of a parts car to keep it from retracting all the way in there.

Hahaha this is funny. I dont have any of these problems because the two door is just not friendly on letting passengers in the back, so nobody really had a chance to ruin the holsters for the seat belts. Four doors are much more inviting to passengers.~David~

i have the plastic boots, but they broke clean in half! I'd like to find a way to fix the plastic boots. I have one belt with a broken boot thing, and I have different-colored belts with good boots, but it looks like the plastic bits would break if I tried to swap them (won't fit over the male buckle end).2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!
