Today i ran the Air/fuel gauge wires to the giant whole, damn do my knees hurts!

Oh and last night i cut the whole in the rest of the trim and today i installed the pod onto the trim. It had clips to retain itself to the trim, but that was just not happening. The pod itself was for a 88 to 89 model cv so that may be why it did not work out, but have no fear like i said it did in fact get installed. How you might ask? well with lost of fumes, wait i mean silicone wow that shit got me messed up. Yep silicone is one of my handy tools it helped me create the dual and single a pillar gauge pods, and in fact that is what is currently holding all of the oil in my oil pan LOL.

Oh and some teasers of the pod still drying in place. it will have to be cleaned of all the excess silicone but i still think right now it does not look too bad. OK now i will stop flapping my gums.
    Teasers as promised....

The amps will be moved to the center and the vacumm, when i buy it, will be on the end.

errr, i have to let the silicone to fully cure then add more...maybe on the backside, and take all of the excess silicone off then i am ready to partially install. Just a bit cautious of the amp gauge wiring length.

and yes i need to get that damn vacuum gauge

Nice work. And damn am I glad I didn't have all that BS to deal with on my old box! What exactly does the thing you relocated do? I always wondered why the dash was molded that way, lol.

it was the brain of the automatic climate control. Attached to that sensor was the slider temperature nob on the hvac unit. and that sensor then tells the blend door what to do. I really wished i had a non atc equipped vehicle so i didnt have to go through all of that work extreme PITA!

And may i ask you...your old box had these equipped already? If so i hate you lol

My box had neither aux gauges nor HAL in the dash, so can't hate me as much now. Just a little.

HAHA funny color!!! Best silicone you could use for that job would be the clear stuff. And judging from that color, it's the clear silicone when it dries, am I right?

I like sunpro's gauges! Mine match the instrument cluster with the black face plates and the orange needles.

You are WRONG hehehehe. I like using the black to act as a accent. It worked out really well with my two a pillar pods, but you know whats funny??? I never even considered using a clear silicone.

On the back i couldnt care less what the color is but i am extremely satisfied with the outcome of the black on the face of the trim. i truly am. i am looking at it right now and it is looking back saying o'you sexy beast you fixed me up good! wha-wha-wha never mind that. You guys wouldn't understand all of the trouble we went through making it look like that, its truly personal.

And now lets look 2 weeks back and see how we've progressed from 'I can't do this with ATC' and 'will this pod work' to 'WHERE'S THAT DAMN VACUUM GAUGE!!?'

or, we could stop whoring in the man's thread.

                            sorry for the whoring Dave

The sunpro 'style line' vacuum gauge I got is also a 'boost' gauge, but it was only 20 bucks! For that price I can live with the borderline rice guilt.
One of the local discount auto stores even stocks it. Might check there too if you haven't already...

Whore away as long as it is relevant. I dont mind. And the last i checked the local R S Strauss, Autozone and Pepboys all had a couple in stock. Yea the gauge doubles as a boost gauge. maybe one day...maybe one day...I can use it for that function...Prolly not.
