    also, keep in mind the woodgrain changed a couple times over the years, so it might be a case of what were they doing this year.

        match the minwax lid to a piece of dash trim.......even pine can be made to look fancy lol

        1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt

          They did change the wood grain slightly over the years. I managed to find one of the nicest looking wood grains they had available for the LTD CV, not sure exactly what year it came off of though. I have a couple of good pics of it, in my RR thread.

            been doing some searching to find a turning stick out of burrled walnut to make a T shift handle for Creamy. I didnt have much choice on the veener being used on the dash. I have seen sheets the size of mine for sale aroud 500 to 600 dollars. Dont know if they were matched either. I didnt pay that for mine as it was a leftover purchase from a custom table made by a cabnet maker I meet.
            Anywho. It didnt quite match. The patteren did but the dark color was good the liter tones didnt. What I have discovered it is probably Cocobolo burrled walnut. I THINK THATS THE RIGHT NAME. This wood comes from down under Austraila. The color seems to match both the dark and light.

              hmmm...can u just ask the cabinet maker what kind of wood the panels are trying to copy...since he is a cabinet maker he should know. :p
