Uh, he has an airbag.....he needs a lil more info. All I know is you need to disconnect the battery an shit before you do anything. I don't know how you remove the airbag.

bag has 4 nuts that retain it on the back side. them it pulls off and disconnect it. I'm not sure past there, I've never removed an airbag wheel. Not recommended. Better off safe.

            Airbag

Well mangs, I feel loved. No, not really, but I have replaced the airbag, so I don't really NEED it, would rather taker a wheel to the head...
BUT anyways, WHERE can I get a S.W removing tool?

Yes, get the install kit when you get the wheel.

when you use the hammer method...make sure the steering shaft doesnt get mushroomed. easier to get a puller and it pops off easier

The airbag is tricky and you don't want to have it blow in your face... First disconnect your battery on the car, and then wait a few hours... (It DOES have a small battery or capcitor back up that will fire it after the battery is disconnected for a while... This is per the Ford dealer) After that, use a 10 mm deepwell socket to un-bolt the airbag.. They are on the back of the center hub on the steering wheel... Then carefully remove the bag, and unplug the clock spring... If you want to keep the old stuff be carefull when you unplug it, as the clockspring is sort of delicate, and easily damaged... (I pulled mine apart trying to diconnect it... had to go to the yard for a new one....) Then remove the wheel... you may have to remove the clockspring to put the new wheel adapter kit on... but that is pretty self explainatory.... (It is under the steering wheel)

                          Hope this helps

                          Tom...

you dont need the special tool.....get the air bag out and back off the nut so that it still has some thread. hit the nut with a hammer and the wheel will bounce off ...remove the nut and simply pull off the wheel.

                              good luck
