Changing the color of my Lite-Brite dash ('99 GM)

It uses a VFD display. VFD's are blue-white in color, so my guess is they use a green filter for the gauge cluster. I'd like it to be blue, I don't mind getting a new cluster and dismantle it.

Can anyone confirm they're just using a green filter?

From what I've seen with VFDs they were always a bluish green not a bluish white, I doubt there will be a filter.

It would be MUCH easier to just buy a digi cluster from a 95-97 CV or GMQ. They are blue instead of green, and are for the most part a direct swap 95-02 save a pin or two on the cluster connector

      (click)

      Same physical dimensions of course.

So it *should* be a direct swap, right?
