Say, what did you do for fasteners? Right now I've got everything screwed together with self-drilling screws, and it's pretty much safe, but I want to get more serious attachment for the long-term. Tapping for real 1/4-20 or so bolts would be something of an improvement, but maybe you have a trick for getting actual nuts in there somehow?

no tapping, no sheetmetal screws - drill through, bolts and nuts, everything stays nice and solid.

And Duce, I'm having trouble identifying the aluminum object that heavy-duty bracket is sitting on .... Kirkey racing seat, perhaps? Bracket looks awesome, though.

yes it is a Kirkey intermediate double rib the steel bracket is attached to some 2x4 aluminum angle that bolts to the floor
